Yorke Peninsula is a peninsula in South Australia. It lies between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east. The peninsula is home to the towns of the Copper Triangle and the port of Ardrossan.

The Clare Valley is the oldest wine region in Australia. The region’s economy is dominated by agriculture and mining.

Jobs in the Agricultural Industry
The region is a major grain producer of such grain as barley and wheat. The Clare Valley is renowned for the wine industry. Riesling is the most important white wine in the valley. There are also wine processing plants which distil the wine. Sheep and cattle rearing are also dominant in the area. Jobs related to this include agronomy, horticulture, irrigation engineering, livestock management, pastoralists, veterinarians, farm laborers, wine distillers.

Jobs in the Mining Industry
The area is also into mining of copper. Salt, gypsum as well as limestone are mined in the peninsula. Dolomite is mined in Gulf St Vincent. Processing plants may be found in this region.
