Jobs in Tianjin
Tianjin is the second largest city in northern coastal China and ranks third as a city after Beijing and Shangai. The manufacturing sector is the largest providing about 57% and is the fastest-growing sector with just over 16% of Tianjin’s economy.
The city has since been developing very well such that many talented people were sent in from other parts of the country. Today Tianjin has machinery, electronics, chemistry, steel, textile, and cigarette industries, among others. Jobs in various fields have been created and these are in Engineering, Mechanics, Electronics, IT, Accounting and finance, Marketing, Insurance, Legal Affairs and Human Resources.
Farmland takes up about 40% of Tianjin Municipality’s total area with crops such as Wheat, rice, and maize being the most important crops. Fishing is important to the economy but is only practiced along the coast. Tianjin is also an important industrial base. Major industries include petrochemical industries, textiles, car manufacturing, mechanical industries, and metalworking. Job lists in the industrial sector range from, Engineering, Mechanics, Electronics, IT, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Insurance, Legal Affairs and Human Resources.
Tianjin Municipality deposits about 1 billion tonnes of petroleum, with the major oil deposits being in the Dagang District. Another important component of the Tianjian economy is their salt deposits, Changlu Yanqu being one of China’s most important salt production areas. There are other resources that are of importance to the Chinese economy such as geothermal energy, deposits of manganese and boron. It is also important to know that some of these resources were in fact first found in Tianjin, making Tianjin a very important facet of the Chinese economy.
This sector has resulted in the creation of jobs in Geology, Chemical Technology, Surveying and Geomatics and Engineering. Companies like EADS Airbus will be opening an assembly plant for its A320 series airliners. The airplane manufacturing industry has created loads of employment for Engineers, Mechanics and other fields associated with the aviation sector.
