Geographically, Texas is positioned in the innermost of the southern part of the United States of America. The capital city of this state is Austin and the nickname of Texas State is called as Lone Star state. The major cities of this state are Garland, Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Plano, Arlington, El Paso, Dallas, and Corpus Christi.
The discovery of oil was a boon to the economic diversification of Texas. Texas is the seat of Higher Education, Technology and Bio-medical research. .
