Jobs in Taegu

Taegu which is also spelt as Daegu, is a city located in the Gyeongsangbuk-do province in South Korea, Taegu is the forth largest city in South Korea. Taegu is a city that has many job opportunities. The city of Taegu is world renowned for its textile industry which dates back thousands of years back, the textile industry is still going strong in Taegu and is one the biggest employer in the city it provides jobs for weavers, and textile engineers. The textile industry in Taegu has paved way for a big fashion industry that employers fashion designers, models, etc, the fashion industry has also made it possible for some eyewear industry related companies to pop up this provides job opportunities for cosmetologists, beauty artists. There are also some car parts manufacturers that have established themselves in the city and provide work for mechanics, mechanical engineers, fit and turners.

As with any other city the public services sector is the major contributor f job opportunities and provides work for the bulk of the working population in the city. The public services sector provides job opportunities for teachers, policeman, nurses, and doctors. There are five universities in Taegu that provide employment opportunities for lecturers in various academic fields, there are also many professional and technical colleges in Taegu.

Sales men, shop managers, shop attendants, general dealers and retailers, can all find jobs in shopping sector in Taegu that is centered at the Central Business District, the main shopping district with the largest concentration of shops, and department shops is Dongseongno. The Central Business District also has many local and multinational chains of shops which provide many job opportunities.

The climate in is humid subtropical, the area receives very little rain, and is generally sunny through out the year. This wonderful weather is perfect for the tourism industry which is quite big in Taegu and provides numerous job opportunities for tour operators, taxi drivers, hoteliers, bar men, waiters, and entertainers at the various, night clubs, pubs, hotels, tourism and leisure resorts around the city, tourism also provides jobs for art and craftsmen who sell their wares to tourists.
