The Sunshine Coast is a coastal region located in South East Queensland, north of the Queensland capital of Brisbane. The Sunshine Coast has many national parks and it is said to have the most parks than an place in Queensland. Parks such as, Mapleton Falls National Park, Kondalilla National Park, The Glasshouse Mountains National Park, Noosa National Park, and the Great Sandy National Park, have been responsible for the conservation of the areas natural biodiversity Nambour Hospital is the region’s major hospital and attends to over 35,000 cases in a year. There are smaller hospitals located in Caloundra & Maleny, but they however have limited facilities, and any complicated cases are referred to Nambour Hospital.

The hospitals have resulted in the creation of jobs for doctors, nurses, first aid personnel and other fields that are associated with the medical field. There are a number of private hospitals which include The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital at Buderim, Caloundra Private Hospital (formerly known as Andrea Ahern) at Caloundra, Selangor Hospital at Nambour, the recently established Kawana Private Hospital, and smaller facilities at Noosa. All these medical service facilities provide a long list of jobs for job seekers.
