This is the biggest city in the United Arab Emirates. The city is not relatively well developed and unlike Dubai it is not developing its infrastructure as fast as it is. The city is full of commercial and administrative centers.
Technical skills jobs are not in demand that much in sharjah but rather blue collar jobs are the most wanted as it can be said to be a business city. Accountants and administration assistants are professionals that are needed the most; this is so because the city has a lot of commercial and administrative centers that employ such professionals. there are a lot of multi national companies that set up their headquarters in the city and have they operations in cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The city can be likened to an administrative office that has projects that are on going in other places. The city does not only have administrative jobs even though they are the most popular. The city has always had projects which cover traditional and cultural areas. There are museums that deal with the history, art and culture of the Islamic state. This is where historians are needed to detail the past of the Islamic sate. There is also science and archaeology. scientist are needed because the united Arab emirates is constantly looking for ways to provide safe and cleaner energy, replacing oil or at least reducing the worlds dependency on it.
Archaeologist is there to uncover the proud and vast history of the city, Another sector of the economy that the city has alloy of jobs is the tourism industry. The United Arab Emirates is looking to reduce the gross domestic product percentage that the oil industry contributes. In other words the country is trying to reduce its economy’s dependency on oil revenue. The city being the largest and having a harbor makes it the docking station of many ships that are headed to the United Arab Emirates. Navy professionals re needed but this kind job is usually kept for the local people. The jobs that foreigners can get are those that have to do with the operation of the harbor this is due to the fact that there are foreign companies that are the harbors in the United Arab Emirates.
