Jobs in Riverina and Murray

Riverina is an agricultural region in New South Wales, Australia. on the south eastern side. The flat plains, constant availability of water and the temperate to hot climate makes ideal for irrigation.

This combination has made Riverina one of the most productive agricultural regions. Rice wheat, fruits and vegetables and wine grapes are some of the agricultural products produced. A total of 182,000 hectares are under irrigation in the region.. The region produces over 25% of the state’s fruit and vegetables90% of NSW citrus products and 80% of NSW wine/grape production. Employment opportunities are limited to those in the agricultural and horticulture practice. Farmers, viticulturists, wine makers, plant scientists, agriculturalists, environmentalists and climatologists are the various employment opportunities offered in this industry.

The dry land of Riveria is used in breeding sheep which are for wool purposes. Shepherds and technicians in the processing procedure are the main jobs available. Apart from growing wine grapes and rice, processing of rice and production of wine is done in the region. Rice mills and wineries are also found in the region. These plants employ variety of employees ranging from technicians, supervisors, accountants, and administrators and stockiest.

Murray is in the north of the state of Victoria. It is an Australian Electoral division. The Murray River forms the Border between Victoria and New South Wales. SPC Ardmona is a canned fruits processing company located in the division of Murray the processing plants are distributed in three cities. These provide employment opportunities for food scientists, supervisors, technicians accountants, marketing agents, administrator and human resources manager.

Dairy is also practiced and involves skilled workers who do the milking, veterans, food scientists and technicians in the processing of the milk and milk products. Animals including, cattle, sheep and pigs are grown mainly as a source of meat. Cattle herd men; shepherds are required in this sector. Veterans that maintain and monitor the health of the animal are also required.
