Jobs in Pokhara – Nepal

Pokhra is the most popular tourist destination in Nepal and is called as the Switzerland of Nepal. The Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu ranges can be seen from Pokhara and the beautiful Phewa Lake is the main attraction of the city. Pokhara is the third largest city in Nepal and as a new comer you have plenty of job opportunities in Pokhara.

Apart from traditional tourism business many small scale and large scale industries in Pokhara offers best secured jobs. Currently there are about 73 industries in Pokhara industrial area. The government is planning to commercialize industrial area and encourage foreign investors to invest in industries. The process has already been started and this step has been appreciated by many people in Pokhara. The foreign investments will not only strengthen the economic condition of the country but will benefit the future of the young generation.

Pokhara is the major tourist center of Nepal. The combination of nature and culture has attracted many tourists from around the world. The tourism business has reached its height and will start increasing as the day’s progress. Pokhara is quite a modern city and many tourists prefer to have a long stay in this city. The Pokhara airport is situated in middle of the city and serves regular flights to Katmandu. Each qualified individual in search of job has never been disappointed in Pokhara.

The duck rising and duck farming project in Pokhara has already been accepted by majority of rural people in Nepal. The government has announced many schemes to promote this business. Many training camps and experts are appointed to make this project successful. Such schemes have enabled many people to start their own business and live an independent life.

The handicraft center established in 1969 to provide job opportunities for Tibetan refugees has opened doors for international market. The export quality carpets manufactured in this center are loved in all parts of world. This center has offered jobs to many Tibetans and local people of Pokhara. The profit margin is unbelievable and is used for education, health care, and for physically handicapped Tibetan people.

It is quite clear that there are plenty of secured jobs available in Pokhara. If you are qualified and want to work hard Pokhara is the best place. The international community is ready to invest in Pokhara which means that youth in Nepal has definitely got a bright future.

I have completed two semesters and now I need to do some internships right now because practical placement is a part of my degree education. I chose Pokhara because of the environment base.
