Jobs in Ehime

Ehime Prefecture is in northwestern Shikoku Japan. It has 11 cities with Matsuyama being the capital city; Ehime faces the Seto inland sea to the north and is bordered by Kagawa and Tokushima in the east and Kochi in the south. It is characteristic of high mountains in the inland region and a long coastline, with many islands in the Seto inland Sea. Industries involved in ship building are in the area. These indulge in the manufacturing of ships and the selling of these opens to the retail industry. Engineers are required in the industry together with architects and painters.

The chemical industry indulges in the manufacture of various chemicals for different uses. These require chemists and biochemists and lab technicians responsible for the production in the labs. This is a sensitive industry and precautions are taken to avoid accidents thus security guards and supervisors that monitor the activities in the various plants and labs are employed. They also monitor air pollution and water pollution which are resultant of the various and numerous factories in the prefecture. Tree cutters and tractor and other heavy vehicle drivers are some of the job opportunities this industry has to offer. Further employment is available in the processing plant with includes technicians and supervisors. Designers are required in the textile industry together with laborers and other personnel. There are a group of employees that generally are responsible for the overall running of the plants and factories. These are job opportunities in all industries with a factory or plant. These are accountants, administrators, marketing agents, receptionists, human resources managers and secretaries. Apart from indulging in the various industrial activities above, Ehima prefecture also indulges in agriculture and fishing.

This has created job opportunities for those not in the industrial field. Citrus fruits are characteristic in agriculture. These require farmers and other qualifying personnel responsible for the monitoring and control of pests and diseases and determining appropriate harvest time depending on the type of processing to be undertaken of the fruits. For example the ripeness required for jam making and processing of tinned fruits vary. Fishing is another activity which employs fishermen. A nuclear power plant also provides employment in Ehime which is responsible for most of the electricity generation.
