Gippsland is a large rural region in the state of Victoria, Australia. It stretches from the east of Melbourne up to the border of New South Wales. The region has an extensive coastline and national parks, forests and rugged high country.

Scientists are needed to explore for more deposits, researchers, engineers, miners, processors, drivers are also required to work in the mining industry.
Education is a key to success. The region of Gippsland has invested in educational facilities from pre-schools to TAFE colleges to universities. There are also specialist industry institutions like Forestech which deals with forestry and timber allied courses. Teachers, lecturers, researches, deans, school heads and administrators are likely to be employed in the education sector.
