Gifu is a located in the Chubu region of central Japan. Gifu is the capital city. It is a landlocked prefecture sharing borders with seven other prefectures. It’s because of this strategic location that makes it important as the crossroads of Japan. It is the control button of the country. This has resulted in the habitation of a number of factories and industries in the prefecture as business is booming and is a strategic position. The Mino region is surrounded by low mountains; which are responsible for the temperature fluctuations throughout the year, from hot summers to cold winters. Paper making and agriculture are long-established industries in the prefecture that accommodate, farmers that monitor the growth of the vegetables and other products. They also determine harvest time and control pests and diseases. Processing requires the food scientists, technicians and supervisors who monitor the production and processing of the farming products. Paper making involves laborers who are responsible for cutting the trees for timber and in transporting the timber to the processing plant. Technicians are required in the processing procedure.
Overally all the industries provide job opportunities for accountants, business administrators, receptionists, human resources managers, receptionists and marketing agents. Important to note that the job opportunities above are not limited to, but include the ones listed above. Small but expanding industries are also resident in the prefecture that include precision machining, die and mold making, and plastic forming. These have increased the diversity of employment opportunities in the area including those specializing in these departments.
Information technology has taken root in the area making way for IT programmers, database administrators, software engineers and many more. An example of a company is VR Techno Japan which is part of Techno Plaza is located in Kakamigahara.
