Changchun is the capital city of Jilin province and is located in the Northeast of China. The city has a population of about 7.1 million people.
Changchun’s major industry is the manufacture of transportation facilities and machinery. The city produces 20% of the automobiles, 50% of the passenger trains, and 10% of the tractors made in China. Changchun has the biggest automobile research and development center in China. The first Chinese trucks and cars were made in Changchun. FAW (First Automotive Works) Group has its headquarters in Changchun. The city is proud to have some major brands that include the Red Flag luxury brand, as well as Audi, Volkswagen, and Toyota.
