Assam is known for many things. One of them is Assam silk. The sericulture industry is very famous in Assam. Many people opt for it because of its prospect. In fact, it has a huge contribution in Assam’s economy. Sericulture industry employs over 300000 people from Assam only. Also helps to reduce the unemployment problems. India is the second largest producer of silk and Assam has a very important part in this industry.

Another big industry is the Assam tea industry. Assam tea industry is India’s largest tea industry. The black tea of Assam is world famous. Assam is the second largest commercial tea production region in the world. Therefore, there is a huge number of recruitment happened in this tea industry, Assam.

Another field is the tourism industry. Youth are adventurous by heart. Therefore, they enjoy tourism very much. Tourism industry gives them a chance to live their dreams everyday also they can enjoy and earn at the same time. In today’s age where earning is a big issue everywhere, the youth of Assam feels lucky to join tourism industries. There are many places to see and they are from inside so they can arrange the route and the plan perfectly for the tourists. That is why tourism industry is so very successful among the youth today.

Economically Assam is not that much strong. Thought there are many chances of improving. But the good thing is that Assam is improving. In fact, there are many new opportunities booming today but still information technology and software industry does not look good in this region. There are some sales related jobs available in this region so that is also showing a ray of light to the youth. In addition, some medical transcription jobs and small business opportunities are there in Assam for them.

Assam is situated in the border and we often come to know about some movements there. Moreover, this is unfortunate that some of the youth actually go and join those people and groups. This is happening because of unemployment problem. So the government is taking part and trying to get more people from Assam in government jobs.

Nevertheless, beside all these many young people are taking care of their country and joining the security forces to serve their country. Hence, the government and we all are hoping that the unemployment problem will reduce soon.
