Jobs in Al Wakra – Qatar
Al Wakra is the second largest city in Qatar located between Umm said and Doha. Al Wakra is just on the border of Doha city and the distance is about 10 kms only. In recent days it’s not possible to have a place to live in Doha. The rising real estate rates have allowed Al Wakra to become the home of many residents that work in Doha. Many people in Al Wakra have permanent jobs in Doha and as a youngster from Al Wakra the best job opportunity for you is in the capital city, Doha.
Al Wakra has attracted many tourists and tourism business is major source of income for many people. There are only few hotels in Al Wakra that offers cheap accommodation in the town. The long and sandy beach is the major attraction place for tourist who wants to spend few silent hours on the beach. There are many children parks in the city and the future plans for the area include a wild life park and a country club. Investment in real estate can prove very handy in the future. Well, tourism business offers few job opportunities but many youngsters prefer to travel to Doha for bright future.
Fishing is a traditional business and you can find many Dhow workshops in Al Wakra. Dhows are still built in Al Wakra, but the percentage has come down significantly. The mangrove swamps in the area are uprooted for construction of new Al Wakra. There are many such swamps in the area and in the past mangrove trees were used in the construction of boats, houses, and furniture. Pearling and Dhow workshops have become rear in recent days and the youth is attracted towards few new opportunities in Doha, which is very near to Al Wakra.
Al Wakra was a tiny fishing and pearling village in past which developed into a small town with a population of not more than 35,000. In short it’s a developing town and you can expect few changes in the near future. The government strategies involve bringing few industries in this town. Also, they are planning to encourage fishing and pearling business. The new modern Al Wakra hospital is towards completion, the education sector is improving with introduction of secondary school for boys that offers IB diploma programmer.
